Project

“September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month” Campaign

Context

Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month is observed in September to highlight the impact spinal cord injuries and the urgent need for funding research.

Wings for Life USA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit spinal cord research foundation using donations to fund promising research projects and studies to heal the injured spinal cord. Each September, Wings for Life launches a month-long campaign to raise funds and awareness for cutting-edge spinal cord research.

Actions

For this campaign, I collaborated with over 100 internal and external stakeholders to ideate, design, and streamline a company-wide fundraiser postcard mailing for over 6,000 employees.

Additionally, I helped develop tailored activation strategies to promote the fundraiser across different sectors of the company, including Talent, Distribution, and Marketing teams.

To support broader engagement, I created a public-facing, comprehensive fundraiser toolkit featuring social media assets, a detailed fundraising guide, and outreach templates. I proposed and implemented the concept of a social media profile photo frame to enable donors to display their support all month long.

Impact

Our team at Wings for Life successfully raised $774,446 in one month, with 100% of the proceeds directly supporting spinal cord injury research.
